When I started to research my ancestors, I had little idea
where my path would lead me or what I might find. Through various documents and the assistance of family, friends and other
researchers, I was taken into the lives of past family members. I discovered something of their character, their relationships,
occupations, the circumstances which surrounded them and the places where they lived. Having obtained such details, I felt
it was important to offer them to others who might be interested. I therefore hope that in placing such information on the
internet will prove to be suitable for this purpose.
Researching ancestors is like trying to find the pieces
of a giant puzzle. Some details fit together easily while others are more difficult. In many cases the pieces are lost, possibly
for ever. Some documents disagree with others such as with dates of birth or the spelling of names. This means that the information
I have provided is, to the best of my knowledge, correct, but cannot be totally guaranteed. There are few records beyond 1901.
I should like to thank all those who have helped me in my
research and I would welcome additional information which others might be able to provide.
